The Sharks showed they’re serious BBL Championship contenders with a superb 86-78 victory last night at Plymouth Raiders.
Sheffield’s victory moves them back to the top of the table and once again demonstrated their resolve as they battled back from 16 points down in the second quarter.
Sharks had trailed 24-19 at the end of the first quarter and fell 40-24 behind before rallying to score the last eight points of the second quarter.
Sharks went into the fourth quarter 62-59 down but took the lead for good at 72-71 on a Mike Tuck two and back-to-back threes by BJ Holmes and Olu Babalola gave them a 82-73 advantage from which Raiders couldn’t recover.
American forward Demetrius Jemison had his best match since rejoining the club with 31 points.
