Former Sheffield Sharks shooting guard Nate Reinking has been appointed to the Great Britain coaching staff for this summer’s programme, which includes September’s EuroBasket in Slovenia.
Reinking, originally from Ohio but naturalised as British through his time playing in the BBL with the Sharks among others, said: “It is a great honour to be given the opportunity by British Basketball and Head Coach, Joe Prunty, to coach and continue to build upon the success and foundation of the programme.”
The 39-year-old became the first Sharks player to represent Great Britain in the Olympics when he lined up for the team at the Games in London last summer. He said: “I have a deep passion and love for the GB family and look forward to working hard as we head toward our goals at EuroBasket 2013.”
