Sharks produced an excellent performance tonight at Plymouth Raiders to move into the last four of the BBL Trophy.

Still without the injured Jeremie Simmons it was 20-year-old guard Nick Lewis who led Sheffield’s scoring with 17-points as Atiba Lyons’ team eased to victory.

Sharks, who won the Trophy last year, raced into a 10-2 lead in the first quarter and controlled the rest of the opening ten minutes to hold a 23-18 advantage.

Raiders battled back after the break to tie the match at 25-25 and then edge in front at 28-27.

Sharks responded and were back in front by half time 41-35 thanks to a 12-2 burst midway through the second quarter.

The lead was still six (56-50) heading into the final period and Sharks quickly made the match safe with a 5-0 burst to start the fourth quarter.

The closest Raiders could get after that was 65-57 with Sharks biggest lead being 74-57 on a three-point play by BJ Holmes.
