Sharks forward Patrick Horstmann is determined to keep his team at the top end of the British Basketball League table.
Sheffield take on Cheshire Phoenix at the EIS tonight (7.30pm) before travelling to Glasgow Rocks on Saturday.
It is a crucial weekend for the club as the look to keep pace with the top two teams - Newcastle Eagles and Worcester Wolves.
“Yes, we are certainly looking to now stay in that top group in the BBL Championship,” said Horstmann.
“Even more so, now that we have lost in both the semi-final of the BBL Cup and the BBL Trophy too,”
Sharks will come face-to-face with Phoenix star Victor Moses, who scored 50 points last weekend against Plymouth. However, Horstmann says his teammates need to concentrate on all the Cheshire threats.
“Moses is a great player and he has played an outstanding season. But we can’t only focus on him, because they have several talented players that can score in bunches.”
Horstmann also says Sharks have added motivation for their trip north of the border after losing to the Rocks late last year.
He said: “We were definitely not happy about the way we played against Glasgow before Christmas,” he explained.
