Sharks guard Nick Lewis said the memory of last Sunday’s loss at Manchester Giants inspired Sheffield’s victory against Plymouth Raiders on Friday night at the EIS.
Sharks were excellent in their 79-55 win over the Raiders to banish the Giants defeat, but Lewis said it’s important they use it as motivation for the rest of the season.
He said: “We have to keep it in our heads.
“That’s (Plymouth) how we should come out and play a game.
“We’ll take it as a learning experience and never forget that loss.”
Lewis, aged 21, was pleased with the Sharks performance and praised the way new signing Allen Payne has fit into an establish squad.
He said: “We’ve all played together as a team and there are a lot of returning players so the chemistry is there.
“Allen has come into the mix this year and is doing good for us. He’s doing what he has to do and he’s playing within the offence.
“Everybody knows what they have to do when they’re on the court.”
