The Sharks have made a perfect start to the season with victory at Manchester Giants.
Sheffield, led by 15 points from club captain Mike Tuck, came out on top for the second time this weekend after beating Cheshire Phoenix on opening night at the EIS.
Great Britain under 20 point guard Nick Lewis, who was scoreless against Cheshire, hit 12 points and teammate Patrick Horstmann continued to impress in a Sharks vest with a dozen himself.
For Manchester Rob Marsden led all-scorers with 16 points while David Aliu chipped in with 14 and Stefan Gill 10.
Sharks led 21-13 at the end of the first quarter and stretched their advantage to 16 (41-25) at half-time after finishing the second quarter with a 7-0 run.
It would be all the gap they’d need as they maintained a double-digit lead throughout the third quarter and then didn’t allow the Giants to get any closer that 62-54 in the final stanza.
While Sharks were celebrating a second victory it was another loss for Manchester after they were beaten at London Lions on Friday night.
Sheffield are one of three clubs to start the season with two wins. Newcastle Eagles and London Lions also enjoyed successful weekends.
Next for Sharks are Plymouth Raiders on Friday.
