SHEFFIELD Sharks sealed their third successive win in the BBL Championship last night with a comfortable 99-64 victory over whipping boys Mersey Tigers.
The result was never in doubt after Sharks dominated the first quarter, racing into a 32-11 lead, with Demtrius Jemison in fine form.
Althought the Tigers, who are bottom of the table, having not won a match all season, rallied in the second period, Sharks extended their lead to 57-31.
The visitors reeled off a 9-0 run mid-way through the third period to further underline their superiority in every department, and two free throws from Zachariah Gachette in the dying minutes put them 78-44 ahead.
Having done all the hard work early on, Sharks took their foot off the gas and only out-scored the Tigers by one point in the final quarter.
