Three Sheffield Hatters players have been named in the English Basketball League Divison One’s team of the season by website Eurobasket.com after their outstanding season.

The Hatters ended the campaign unbeaten and in the process picked up the league, cup and play-off titles.

Inevitably there were some outstanding performances by individual players and Helen Naylor, Julie Page and Stephanie Gandy have taken their place alongside Cardiff Archers’ Stefanie Collins and Northumbria’s Ta’Yani Clark.

Page was named Play-offs Most Valuable Player, Gandy won Player of the Year and Naylor picked up the Forward of the Year award. Hatters coach Vanessa Ellis was announced as Coach of the Year.

This weekend Gandy and Lauren Thomas-Johnson will line up for Great Britain against Germany at Surrey Sports Park. Ellis is assistant GB coach.
