A depleted Yorkshire team narrowly missed the medals at the Inter Counties Championship at Birmingham, finishing a close fourth.
Jonathon Brownlee who led the Yorkshire challenge finishing fifth.
Phil Hoole (Rotherham), 65th, and Rob Little (Hallamshire), 105th, were in the counting team for Yorkshire. .
Yorkshire womendid well to finish third behind Hampshire and Scotland East. Jade Allen (Rotherham) in 40th place and Nicola Squires (Hallamshire) who finished 50th, were important members of the Yorkshire team.
The under 17 men’s team were runners up with Tom Bains (Hallamshire) the third Yorkshire runner in 27th place and Bertie Houghton (Doncaster) one place outside the counting quartet in 44th place.
Josh Naisbitt (City of Sheffield) was 17th in the under 15 age group whilst Alfie Manthorpe (City of Sheffield) was 48th in the under 13 race.
Yorkshire junior women just missed medals finishing fourth. They were splendidly led by Calli Thackery (Hallamshire) who finished seventh whilst Rotherham’s Natasha Hatswell was 42nd.
Yorkshire were well led in the under 17 women’s race by Fiona Bell (Hallamshire in eighth place.
