City of Sheffield were far too strong for the opposition in the British League Super 8 Cup semi final at York on Saturday winning both the men’s and women’s events.

The winners of the six semi finals go through to the final along with two of the runners up. Luke South was impressive in winning the 200 metres for Sheffield in 22.1 with Matt Quine taking the 400 (50.7). Liam Ramsay had a good win in the 110m hurdles in 15.5 Abigail Bishell won the women’s 100m for Sheffield in 12.5 and there was a double for Sheffield’s Kelly Clarke in the hurdles and triple jump.
