Luke Cutts (Dearne ALC) won the Pole Vault at the Northern Indoor Championships at Sheffield. Without any serious competition Cutts, who aims to get selection for the World Indoor Championships, cleared 5.50, modest by his standards. His team mates, Adam Hague and Nick Cole, both juniors took the minor medals.
Imran Rahman (City of Sheffield) improved progressively through heat and semi final of the 60 metres, going on to win the final in a personal best of 6.80
Kristie Edwards (City of Sheffield) found the transition from u17 champion to the u20 section no problem, winning both the 60 (7.72) and the 200 (24.74.) Also outstanding in the u20 section was Abigail Roberts (Dearne ALC.)
She set a new personal best in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.95.

He won the 200 (22.22), hurdles (8.30) and long jump (6.70) as well as taking bronze in the high jump. He chose not to do the 60 metres which was won impressively by Doncaster’s Joe McGrath in a personal best of 7.00.
