SHEFFIELD’S Jessica Ennis proved Lolo Jones’ nemesis once again with another impressive win over the double world indoor champion in the 60metre hurdles at the Aviva International Match in Glasgow this afternoon.
The 25-year-old, making her first appearance in a Great Britain vest since winning the European heptathlon title in Barcelona last summer, took victory at Kelvin Hall in a season’s best 7.97seconds.
American Jones, who also lost to Ennis in last year’s event, clattered the third hurdle and had to settle for fourth in 8.27secs.
Ennis said: “I would give that a nine (out of 10), I was pretty happy with that to be honest.
“It’s always nice to dip under eight (seconds).”
Jones was less than impressed with her display.
“I can’t even tell you the last time I ran this slow, in four years I don’t think I’ve run this slow,” she said.
