Hallamshire Harriers compete in the National six stage road relay championship at Sutton Coldfield, tomorrow.

Tenth in the Northern championship recently, Hallam are looking for a top 20 position in this high class event.

Tom Jenkins, their second fastest runner in the Northern, is unavailable and his place will be taken by Connor Milnes, a junior who has a good record on the track. Their top man is Andy Heyes second fastest overall in the Northern and who should again be one of the fastest.

The other Hallamshire runners are Dave Archer, Tom Bains, Ben Beattie and Andy Challenger. In the women’s four stage race Rotherham will be looking to match last year’s top 10 position.

The National Young Athletes Relays are at the same venue on Sunday. City of Sheffield did well in the Northern event winning both boys and girls races at u15 level and finishing third in the u17 boys event.

It’s also the Cusworth 10K, Doncaster, on Sunday.
