DONCASTER AC will have 10 members competing in this weekend’s English Schools’ Championships at Gateshead - eight of whom will be representing South Yorkshire.

Kelly Bramhald, who is being sponsored by Pegler this season and has set her sights on an Olympic chance in Rio in 2016, tackles the senior girl’s javelin with Beth Dobbin contesting the senior girl’s 200m. England junior multi-events international Nichole Bewley, who has had an injury-hit season, competes in the girl’s senior shot.

Lucy Chappell goes in the inter-girl’s long jump.

Tom Kirk will fly the flag in the senior boy’s shot with Jake Canning in the inter-boy’s 100m. Aiden Davies runs the inter-boy’s 400m hurdles and Joe McGrath the club’s representative in the junior boy’s 100m.

Brothers Jack Houghton (senior boy’s 400m hurdles) and Bertie (senior boy’s 1,500m) both represent West Yorkshire.

The action gets under way tomorrow and continues on Saturday.
