Olympic gold medallist Jessica Ennis-Hill has had to withdraw from mentoring promising young athletes today at the EIS due to illness.

Sheffield’s Ennis-Hill, in her role as an ambassador for the Jaguar Sports Academy, was due to speak to some of the country’s top junior sports stars and take part in a workshop focussing on coping with injury alongside 2011 400 metre hurdles world champion Dai Greene.

The 27-year-old Ennis-Hill is hoping to recover from an ankle injury in time to compete in this winter’s indoor athletics season.
