Jessica Ennis-Hill is ahead of schedule as she rehabilitates from the Achilles tendon injury that ruled her out of this year’s World Championships.
The Olympic heptathlon gold medallist was forced out of the Championships in Moscow in August with persistent pain in her heel.
Ennis-Hill’s coach Toni Minichiello said: “It’s a 10 week strategy and she’s four weeks into it but it is going well - she is ahead of schedule.
“There’s a lot of pool work and time on the bike as well as beginning to use weights to put load on the tendon.”
