Olympic heptathlon gold medallist Jessica Ennis-Hill plans on competing in the pentathlon at the World Indoor Championships next year.
The 27-year-old is ahead of schedule as she recovers from an Achilles tendon injury that ruled her out of this year’s World Championships in Moscow. Ennis-Hill said she is “quite a bit down the road” with her rehabilitation. 2014 promises to be a big year for Ennis as she plans on taking part in a full indoor programme, including the worlds in Poland, the Commonwealth Games and the European Championships in Zurich.
Ennis-Hill said: “I really want to do the indoor season but I am still playing it week by week to see if I can get back into full training but that is still the hope. I want to do the pentathlon at the World Indoors next March.”
