Hallamshire have a strong team for the English Cross Country Relays at Mansfield today even though they are without their top runner Andy Heyes.

Their A team is Andy Challenger, Dave Archer, Rob Little and Tom Bains, a good enough quartet to beat last year’s position of 17th place.

Rotherham, third in the Northern Relay with Natasha Hatswell, Steph Burns and Sam Johnson, will be looking for a performance on a par with last year when they finished seventh. All the races except the men are run over three stages. In the younger age groups Hallamshire look strong in the U13 races, both boys and girls, whilst City of Sheffield and Dearne should be well placed in the U17 women’s race. Rotherham are expected to be strong in the U15 and U17 boys races.
