Although Jessica Ennis-Hill has withdrawn from the European Cup Heptathlon in Tallinn, Estonia today and tomorrow, the City of Sheffield club will be well represented in the British team. Karla Drew is in the heptathlon whilst Roger Skedd and John Lane contest the decathlon.

Sheffield Hallam University student Drew is having an excellent season and has recorded personal bests in six of the seven disciplines. The Tallinn event gives her a great chance to beat her best heptathlon score of 5,389 set at the beginning of this month when she was runner up in the English Championships.

Lane, like Drew, is coached by Toni Minichiello and has a best of 7,534 set last year. Skedd, during winter training in Australia earlier this year, recorded 7,457 in the Australian Championships.
