EVERGREEN table tennis star Farrel Anthony has to raise more than £2,000 by Friday to keep his Olympic dream alive.
Self-funded athlete Anthony, of Batemoor, Sheffield, has to compete in the Korean Open, which starts next week, and the Argentinian Open on December 7 if he is to gain the ranking points required to qualify for London 2012.
Anthony, who turns 50 in March and has suffered from cerebral palsy since birth, trains with the Great Britain squad at the English Institute of Sport three times a week. Only the best 16 players will make the GB team.
He has already funded £8,500 this year but he has to pay for the flights, accommodation and food for the up-and-coming tournaments by the end of the week.
