ARLO Bugeja could be a big hit with Sheffield fans, says skipper Ricky Ashworth.
Bugeja struggled for Redcar last season, but Ashworth feels he has the ability to take his career forward after joining the Owlerton club.
He's scored well at Sheffield and proved to be a matchwinner for the Bears in their televised clash with Edi
nburgh.
Said Ashworth: "Arlo has got ability and could prove a key signing for us. I've seen him have some good rides and hopefully he can be consistent for us once he settles in.
"If he can score four or five points per meeting then we will have a good signing on our hands. We need to have strength in depth and I think he can do it.
"And the rest of the lads will be doing all they can to offer him help. Apart from Pepe Franc, we all know Sheffield really well and we'll be there to offer him any advice he might need.
"If Arlo and Paul Cooper can score some points at reserve it will also ease the pressure on the top end of the team. I think we have an interesting line-up. I don't see why we can't have a great season.
"Arlo needs to take the positives from the good meetings he had last season and take those positives into a new season with us. it's a good chance for him I believe." Bugeja will make his Tigers debut against Belle Vue on March 18.
