SHEFFIELD have nominated Ricky Ashworth and Josh Auty to represent the club at Friday's Premier League League Pairs Championship at Somerset (7.30).
And Auty is keen to follow up his impressive run of form with some silverware for the Owlerton club. Teenage ace Auty has been regularly scoring double figures and has been a major factor in Sheffield's stunning run of form.
He said: "We had a poor
start to the season as a team but things have come together nicely. It would be nice to win something for the Sheffield fans, of course it would.
"Ricky and me can go well around Somerset, the shape of the track suits our style and it would be great to go there and win a national title for the club and the fans."
Meanwhile Tigers are back at Owlerton this Thursday when they face Premier League title chasers Newcastle. Auty said: "They're in a great run of form and they will be a tough team to beat in my view," said Auty.
"But we have a good enough team to beat them and I expect it to be a really tough meeting – but it will be tough for Newcastle as well!"
