DONCASTER Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll has adopted the stance often advocated by Dad's Army's Corporal Jones in times of strife in the wake of the club's first Championship defeat.
O'Driscoll hasn't panicked, nor is he set to do so, following last weekend's 2-0 defeat against Queen's Park Rangers at Loftus Road.

"Apart from the two poor goals, there were a lot of good things to come out of the QPR game so I am not in a rush
to make changes," he said.

"I've had the options to change one or two things every game we've played, but we felt that we didn't need to do that. I'm not one to make wholesale changes anyway."

The prospect of O'Driscoll fielding the same starting line-up for the fourth successive game will not be good news for those players hoping to force their way into the team. Strikers Jason Price and Darren Byfield, yet to start a game this season following surgery, could add to the competition for places.

"They have both trained well all week and if they come through today's session then they will both be added to the squad," said the Rovers boss.

The best that either of them can realistically hope for, however, is a place on the bench.

Looking ahead to Coventry's first visit to the town in more than 50 years, O'Driscoll said: "A week ago they were sitting on top of the league.

"They are a good side who have had some money invested in them and they have got expectations to improve on last season.

"They have got one or two players who are decent. But unfortunately for them, though fortunately for us, it looks like Freddie Eastwood, their main scorer, might be missing. That would be a blow to them.

"But they put up a spirited performance without him in midweek against Newcastle in the Carling Cup, so I'm sure that they'll gain confidence from that.

"They are an established Championship club with seasoned Championship players who are used to playing at this level of competition.

"Every game that you play in this division is going to be difficult, and I don't think that anyone is under any illusions.

"But we are trying to focus on what we want to do rather than worry about anything else."
