Rovers duo 'unhappy with offers'

DONCASTER Rovers Welsh international defender Steve Roberts has rejected a one year contract and could be set to leave the Championship club.
Fans' favourite Jason Price is also reported to be unhappy with the offer on the table.

The 31 year-old striker, currently recovering from an ankle operation, claimed in a recent interview that he was disappointed to have only been offered a one y
ear deal and could be forced to consider his options unless Rovers come up with a better offer.

"I have not read the article so I can't comment on what Jason may or not have said," sald Rovers No 2 Richard O'Kelly. "As far as the club is concerned, talks are going well."

The Rovers flag at the Keepmoat Stadium was flowm half mast yesterday as a mark of respect for former Stadium Management Committee chairman Ian Dickinson on the day of his funeral.

Rovers Carling Cup first round fixture against Notts County will be played on Tuesday 12th August, kicking off at 7:45pm.

The tie at Meadow Lane, could be striker Paul Heffernan's first game back from suspension.

Heffernan spent five years of his career at Notts County, scoring 37 goals, before making a £125,000 move to Bristol City.

Tickets, priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions (ID to be provided if wishing to purchase concessionary tickets), will go on sale shortly.
