THREE people were hurt when a lorry travelling north went out of control on the M1 and swerved into the southbound carriageway, colliding with two cars.
The white Leyland DAF lorry collided with a beige Peugeot and a blue Mercedes at Thurcroft, Rotherham, next to the junction 32 exit slip road.
The lorry driver, a 46-year-old man from Surrey, was taken to the Northern General Hospital with minor injuries. The Peugeot driver and a passenger in the Mercedes also suffered minor injuries.
