FIVE community projects which have benefited from cash grants from South Yorkshire Police Authority are to give presentations about how the money will help them.
They have been chosen as examples of the 114 projects and groups from across the county which have received grants as part of the A Better Communities £150,000 award scheme.
Among those who will talk about their grants are Doncaster Pride, which g
ot £2,000 to stage a summer parade through the town centre, and Rotherham Age Concern, which received £1,980 for a safety promotion.
Wickersley Youth Junior Football Club in Rotherham will talk about its new Under 10s girls team and Under Sevens boys team, Action for Stannington will talk about its Reconnecting Communities Project which organises neighbourhood activities, and the Welland Rangers Neighbour-hood Watch group in Barnsley.
The groups will give their presentations at the Police Authority offices on Friday, October 31.
