ART lovers will feel completely at home in Rotherham this week as the town stages a nine-day festival to show off the best in local artistic, dramatic and musical talent.
The event, which was officially declared open by Mayor Councillor Ann Russell on Saturday, features everything from street theatre and stage shows to poetry and fiddle-playing.
The annual event is staged in a tent in All Saints Square and supported by the Rotherham Culture Company in association with Rotherham Open Arts Renaissance.
Sponsored by the Arts Council of England, South Yorkshire Tourism and Yorkshire Forward, it aims to showcase the work of local community artists and arts groups.
