CANCER care services at Rotherham Hospital are among the best in the country, a new report says.
The National Cancer Peer Review team said it was impressed with Rotherham's range of services and care for colorectal and head and neck cancer patients.
Their report said top of their list of commendations was the co-ordination of communication be
tween the partner organisations involved in cancer care at the hospital.
It praises the rapid access to diagnostic services, a well co-ordinated and well-motivated colorectal team, and says Rotherham is one of the first teams in the country to offer support for head and neck cancer patients.
The team also praised moves to extend services to meet the growing needs of patients.
