Nine arrests as boy dies

NINE people were arrested after the death of a 15-year-old South Yorkshire boy.
South Yorkshire Police said the death of the Rotherham teenager, who has not yet been named, was being treated as "suspicious as a matter of routine".

A post mortem examination was being held today and toxicology tests were also due to carried ou
t.

Police stressed the youngster "did not die a violent death".

Nine people - six males and three females aged between 17 and 27 years old - were arrested in connection with the death and bailed pending further enquiries.

Police and paramedics were called to a house in Tickhill Road, Maltby, at 1.30am yesterday.

The boy was rushed to Rotherham District General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
