PRETTY Nicole Mighali has her finger on the Rotherham pulse - she gathers locals' views on the services the council provides.
Now she's been named the authority's Young Person of the Year after winning an award as an ambassador for customer excellence.

Nicole, aged 24, was presented with her award by the Mayor of Rotherham, Coun Allan Jackson, at a lunch held at Rotherham Town Hall.

Nicole has worked for the council for three years as a member of the Service Quality Team, collecting residents' views through mystery shopping in council building reception areas, door knocking, surveys and forums.

As well as being an ambassador for Customer Excellence Nicole regularly helps organise events for charity, such as a Breast Cancer Day and the Rotherham Flood Appeal.

Nicole, of Rawmarsh, said: "It is fantastic to win because I enjoy my job and work with a fantastic team.

"We deal with real people who have no hesitation in telling the truth about the services we provide.

"It is really lovely when customers say they love the services, but the views of everyone - whether positive or negative - are vital to help us continually improve our services to customers."
