A PAY dispute affecting an industrial museum near Barnsley has been settled.
The National Coal Mining Museum – formerly the Caphouse Colliery – offered a revised package to staff who have been taking industrial action over a pay claim.
Union Unison announced that the new offer had been accepted and all industrial action ha
d been called off.
For the remainder of the school holidays and beyond, the last underground tour will revert to its usual time of 3.15pm from 2.15pm, allowing an additional 95 places to be available.
Visitors are still advised to arrive early as the summer holiday period has been very busy and the tour has been fully booked every day.
