ROTHERHAM Hospital is introducing new visiting times to make it easier for people to park.
Finding a parking space has been difficult in the afternoons because staff, visitors and patients attending clinics all arrive on site at about the same time. Now to relieve pressure, from today visiting times will be 3pm to 4pm and all wards will co
ntinue to have an 6.30pm to 8pm evening visiting time.
Deputy Chief Nurse Brigid Reid said: "Posters will be appearing on the wards to publicise the new times. The key to the success of this change is our flexibility for those who may have difficulty coming at the main times.
"We have also made the decision to restrict the number of visitors per bed space to two and to request visitors who wish to bring children under 12, seek permission from the senior nurse in advance."
It is hoped the change in visiting times will enable patients to have time for rest and treatment after lunch.
