A ROTHERHAM firm has created a 'pukka' eco-kitchen for TV Chef Jamie Oliver as he films his latest TV series in the town.
Atrium Design Ltd was called in to plan the kitchen - a pivotal part of Jamie's plan to turn the town into the culinary capital of Britain.

Atrium boss Vince Audritt handed over the eco-friendly kitchen - complete with hot and cold filtered water taps and waste disposal feature - to the TV chef.

It was then up to Jamie, who was in town for more filming of the Channel 4 series, to try it out.

The kitchen has been created in an empty shop unit in All Saints Square by Jamie's Ministry of Food and will be used in the coming weeks to encourage more people to cook from scratch in their own homes.

The TV chef will adopt techniques used by the Ministry of Food in wartime Britain to advise people on how to feed their families. He will be filmed in the kitchen alongside a team of local volunteers.

Once they have been shown how to prepare 10 cheap, nutritious meals they will be asked to go out and pass on their kitchen skills to others.
