VANDALS are being blamed for a blaze which destroyed trees and shrubs at a new showpiece Rotherham leisure complex.
Firefighters used beaters to put out the blaze which was threatening to spread to vegetation along the banks of Manvers Lane at Wath.

The lake is part of a multi-million pound leisure development currently being carried out by Rotherham Council.

Firefighters were also called to put out a blaze among a pile of tyres at Sheffield Lane, Catcliffe. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
