GRIMSBY Town have confirmed caretaker boss Stuart Watkiss, formerly Academy coach at Barnsley, is out of the running to fill the vacant managerial post at Blundell Park.
Watkiss took charge following Alan Buckley's dismissal a fortnight ago but is not on the eight-man shortlist to become the next Mariners boss which will be from outside the club.
