BARNSLEY midfielder Sam Togwell could be on his way to Yeovil.
The League One club have enquired about the 23-year-old and a move could be on the cards before the season kicks off on Saturday.
Togwell was an unused sub on Saturday as Barnsley signed off for the summer with a 2-0 win over Chinese touring team Chengdu Blades at Oakwell.
Barnsley goals came from Denius Souza and a Jon Macken penalty in a game which saw Premier League referee Stuart Attwell red-card two Chengdu players in the second half.
Demar Stewart and Li Tie were the duo sent off. Both committed two yellow-card offences.
Saturday's win was welcomed by Davey after a 6-0 defeat by Wigan the previous Tuesday.
Said Davey: "At the end of the day, it was an improvement from the payers and that was required after the game four or five days ago.
"It needed to be with a week to go to the start of the season. It was more like us.
"They were a decent side but it was more physical than we would have wanted. The referee handled it well."
Skipper Brian Howard and midfield duo Diego Leon and Hugo Coalce missed the match injured. All three were expected back training today.
Striker Miguel Mostto made his first appearance of the summer, replacing Macken for the the final part of Saturday's match.
It has been confirmed that Grimsby Town have signed Barnsley midfielder Simon Heslop on a three-month loan deal.
The 21-year-old spent most of last season at Halifax, scoring five goals in 30 appearances, but has made just one appearance for the Barnsley.
