BARNSLEY could have striker Miguel Mostto back in the Oakwell fold as early as this weekend.
The South American was allowed home to Peru on compassionate leave earlier this week to visit his sick son.

It is understood the lad's condition is not as serious as was first feared and Mostto will be travelling back to the UK soon.

The 29-year-old is expected to be in manager Simon Davey's squad for the next Champion-ship match.

Barnsley face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park a week tomorrow. That match kicks off at 5.20pm and will be broadcast live by Sky TV.

Argentine midfielder Hugo Colace should be fit to travel to Crystal Palace although he is still under treatment for ankle injury.

Boss Davey will keep in touch with the World Cup qualifying games involving Canada and Jamiaca this weekend.

Barnsley's leading scorer Iain Hume is set to play against Honduras tomorrow and Mexico in Canada on Wednesday.

Hume tops the Oakwell goal chart with four.

Barnsley winger Jamal Campbell Ryce was a late arrival in Kingston this week, reporting for World Cup duty..

He and Tranmere's Ian Goodison arrived in the island late Tuesday evening. However, there was no connecting flight from Montego Bay, so the pair had to wait until Wednesday to join the squad.

Jamaica play Mexico tomorrow and Honduras on Wednesday.

Campbell-Ryce, who missed Barnsley's first five league games this season due to a dislocated elbow following a training ground accident, bounced back and has been ever-present since mid-September..

Darren Moore was prevented from taking part in a charity cycle ride because of rough weather. The centre-half still turned out to support riders on their 160-mile ride from London to the South Ccoast to raise cash for the Faith and Football charity.
