JAMAL Campbell-Ryce, who put Barnsley on course for certain Championship survival last weekend, is expected to sit out the season's finale at Cardiff.
His absence along with Martin Devaney's will leave Barnsley without a winger on Sunday.

Campbell-Ryce has not trained all week because of an ankle injury and a torn thigh muscle ruled Devaney out of the last two matches of the season.

Manager Simon Davey will give teenage midfielder Jacob Butterfield his debut at Cardiff and could change the team's formation from 4-4-2 to 3-5-2 with Brian Howard, Butterfield and Diego Leon in midfield flanked by Rob Kozluk and Marciano van Homoet.

Bobby Hassell could quit his midfield role to play as a third centre back alongside Lewin Nyatanga and Denis Souza.

Cardiff boss Dave Jones has said he will not rest players despite their Wembley FA Cup final date with Portsmouth in two weeks.

"For a start I don't have the squad here to start fielding second string sides or whatever and it is not my way to put out a weakened team anyway," he said.

"There are people we want to take a look at and players who need time on the pitch. The Barnsley game is an opportunity to do that.

"We want to go out of the league campaign on a high and I think our fans expect us to put out a team capable of doing that. I've got to put out some sort of team and I will not be keeping players back, for what ever reason."

Welsh international midfielder Paul Parry and veteran striker Robbie Fowler are expected to be in the Cardiff squad on Sunday. Both missed the FA semi-final against Barnsley a month ago.

Meanwhile, Barnsley's main sponsors next season will be Barnsley Building Society and kit will be supplied by Lotto.
