BARNSLEY keeper Luke Steele is awaiting punishment from the FA.
The Oakwell No 1 has admitted and apologised for wearing an unauthorised logo in Championship matches last season.

Although the 23-year-old is not the only player to have breached the rule by wearing a shirt under his jersey with badge showing, he is set to be made an example of.

The FA charge refers to two instances when Steele wore the clothing - last season's home games against Hull and Leicester.

He is likely to be fined.

Barnsley players reported back for their fourth day of pre-season training this morning.

They will be joined by Jamal Campbell-Ryce and Kayode Odejayi on Thursday. Both were given an extra week away after being involved in international matches earlier this summer. Campbell-Ryce has been in Jamiaca and Odejayi with the Nigerian squad.

The whole squad will be involved in friendlies at Buxton on Friday night (7.30pm) and at Glossop on Saturday (3pm).

Barnsley boss Simon Davey has been discharged from hospital where he was being treated for a neck injury.
