BARNSLEY boss Simon Davey is backing Cardiff in the 2008 FA Cup final and he'll wish manager Dave Jones well after Sunday's Championship closing fixture at Ninian Park.
Barnsley's cup semi-final will be re-run on Sunday but this time with nothing at stake for either club.
And although Barnsley were beaten 1-0 by Cardiff, Davey wants them to lift the trophy.
"I'd like the Championship side to win the Cup Final," Davey admitted. "But I think it will be Portsmouth because of their pace and power and the form they've shown in the Premier League.
"After our game I'll wish Dave Jones all the best but I also wish Harry Redknapp the same."
Davey and his team sign off for the season with a week's holiday together after full-time on Sunday.
Before then the Barnsley boss wants business as usual from the players and another three points on the season's total.
"It's about personal pride for us now," he said.
"Now that we're safe in the division we want to get to 58 points. We want to set that as a target to beat next season."
Sunday's match is Cardiff's last before the Cup Final on Saturday May 17.
Davey added: "Cardiff have got a massive game in two weeks. For them there is the issue of match fitness.
"I think that they'll play a proper side against us but those players will have the cup at the back of their minds. We know from own experience how that effects the players. Really only time will tell for them."
Joe Ledley struck to beat Barnsley at Wembley four weeks ago and give Cardiff their place in the FA Cup final.
He is expected to play on Sunday after Jones promised not to field a weakened team.
