BARNSLEY are looking at former Manchester United left winger Sean Evans and ex-Hull midfielder Anthony Hilton with a view to bolstering their squad ahead of the transfer deadline.
The pair played for the reserves in a 4-0 defeat at Hartlepool last night.
Manager Simon Davey was receiving an assessment of both today from coach Kelham O'Hanlon.
Evans, aged 20, was released from Old Trafford in the summer and had a spell on trial at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
Hilton, aged 19, has been on the books at newly promoted Hull.
Both played all 90 minutes last night as Michael Mackay scored twice and rattled the woodwork for Hartlepool. Jonny Rowell made it 3-0 and hit the post before Alan Power add the final goal.

He appeared set for a move to Birmingham at the end of last month but the deal fell through.
McLeish is looking to revive it.
