NO matter what they tell you, no matter what they do - Boyzone are well and truly back.
It's eight years since lead singer Ronan Keating and the boys were last on stage together but they rolled back the years last night and transported their loyal army of fans at Sheffield's Arena back to their teenage years.
Kicking off their reunion tour gig with Picture Of You, Boyzone stepped back in time and belted out hit after nostalgic hit from their 1990s heyday including Love Me For A Reason, Is It Any Wonder, You're All That I Need, I Love The Way You Love Me and Baby Can I Hold You Tonight.
Covers of Words, Bright Eyes and Father and Son proved popular, but it was an upbeat medley of Jackson Five hits which really got the crowd going.
Bad, Billy Jean, Black or White and The Way You Make Me Feel were all included in the high-energy West End musical-style production with the band's perfectly choreographed routines and scantily clad dancers parading around on stage.
Thousands of screaming fans leapt to their feet for the band's cover of Billy Ocean's When The Going Gets Tough, performed in a retro gym with Ronan, Mikey, Shane, Keith and Stephen singing and dancing on treadmills - surrounded, once again, by half-naked dancers in leotards.
They may have hit the big time as teenagers in the 90s, but time has been good to the band and their fans weren't disappointed when all but Mikey stripped down to their shorts for the gym routine.
Throughout the up-tempo show each and every member of the band thanked the crowd for their support and said how they were glad to be back on stage in front of their fans.
With the Spice Girls and Take That reuniting for sell-out tours it was inevitable that the other big band from that era would follow suit - and judging from the deafening screams there wasn't a disappointed fan in the house.
