POPULAR Sheffield indie quartet Little Man Tate celebrated the release of their new single by staging a free show for fans in their hometown.
Scores of fans queued outside HMV on High Street in Sheffield city centre to see the band perform.
The band then met fans and signed copies of their new single 'What Your Boyfriend Said', which was released yesterday.
Little Man Tate, who are set to play at this year's T in The Park festival, are due to perform in HMV in York today and at the Newcastle store tomorrow.
Lead singer Jon Windle, aged 26, from Sharrow, a former High Storrs schoolboy, has just bought a new house in Sheffield with his girlfriend and says he is busily renovating the property between shows.
He said: "It's a complete mess, so I'm trying my hand at some DIY."
