WADE Small is back in the Sheffield Wednesday first team fold but the club are keeping star striker Francis Jeffers's recovery rate under wraps.
Small, aged 24, has not played since mid-Apri because of a hamstring injury but he trained with the senior professionals this week with a view to playing for the reserves.
Manager Brian Laws declined to name a possible comeback date for former Eve
rton centre forward Jeffers, whose career at Hillsborough has been blighted by injury: "I'm tired of answering the same question. He's progressing well after a slight groin problem. His work-rate is improving but we're not going to add to the pressure by naming a date for his return just in case it doesn't happen."
Laws expects to have Jermaine Johnson available for Saturday's match at Swansea. He came off against Preston with just under 20 minutes of time left, suffering a sore knee.
Laws dismissed out of hand speculation which links Sunderland striker Anthony Stokes with a loan move to Hillsborough.
Meanwhile would-be Owls buyer Geoff Sheard has said the money to complete a take-over has been moved from a Swiss bank account to a London branch of the HSBC bank.
Wednesday's debts of more than £20 million are with the Co-op Bank and Sheard said he has a meeting planned with their officials in the next few days.
Sheard's financial backers have so far remained anonymous but according to him they have spoken to Wednesday's finance director Bob Grierson and chief executive Kaven Walker.
