BRIAN Laws today hailed his Wednesday team's fighting spirit and early-season progress.
The Hillsborough chief is reasonably satisfied with a haul of five points from the first four games while also believing that the team should have had more.

Laws is in confident and relaxed mood as he takes stock during the international break and begins to gear up for the next game, against Watford at Hillsborough a week on Saturday.
Woodhouse takes a swipe at Hillsborough - VIDEOLast Saturday's draw at Swansea - where the Owls fought back after going behind - has also helped to convince him that the team have the tenacity to cope even when faced with a tough challenge.
"We've got five points and I'm disappointed that we haven't got seven - we should have beaten Preston instead of drawing with them," he said.
"But, generally, we're going in the right direction and I'm pleased with the way things are going so far.
"We have also shown fighting spirit; it's always a good sign when you can pick up something when you haven't been playing so well, as happened at Swansea. Even in that game, we could have got three points instead of one.
"We have played really well for long periods, in these first few games, and with another home game to come next, we can look ahead with confidence."
