BRIAN Laws has reassured Francis Jeffers about his Hillsborough future.
The Owls manager slammed a weekend report that claimed the injured striker had been told he could be shown the door if he did not prove his fitness, calling it "a load of tripe".
Laws told The Star that Jeffers is in his plans and has his "100 per cent" support.
"I don't know where that story came from," said Laws. "It is quite upsetting for the player if he reads that stuff. There is no truth in it whatsoever."
Jeffers has another year left on his contract and Laws still hopes that he will make a major Hillsborough impact.
Wednesday have not given up hope of him returning to the first team before this season is out and winning his long battle against a serious ankle injury caused by a bad tackle at Stoke in October.

The club have been closely monitoring the striker since he went off early during his recent comeback in the reserves as a precautionary measure, after feeling a slight reaction in his ankle.

Laws admitted that Tudgay "could be out for a while".
The Owls boss said the club's top scorer had been sent for a scan and revealed "the feedback is not good".
The club will know more after a more detailed assessment this week.
Ben Sahar scored on his full debut on Saturday and Laws said he hoped the loan striker could hit the goals that can keep the Owls up.
Sahar also forged a useful partnership with Deon Burton.
Laws hopes that both will come through international duty on Wednesday unscathed.
Sahar, aged 18 and a full international, has joined Israel Under-21s for a home match against Moldova; Burton is with Jamaica for a friendly against Trinidad and Tobago in Kingston.
Laws takes heart from last Saturday's game despite the blow of a stoppage-time equaliser.
"We still have games in hand.
