Young thespians are ready to take the spotlight again for an annual pantomime in Sheffield now in its 49th year.

Stephen Hill Youth Pantomime is bringing The Wizard of Oz to the stage this February half-term at Stephen Hill Methodist Church in Crosspool.

The theatre company is this year supporting the Mistress Cutler's Challenge, in which teams are given £50 with which to raise as much as possible for The Children's Hospital Charity and Cavendish Cancer Care.

Sheffield's mistress cutler Julie Edwards and her husband Richard, the city's master cutler, helped out by painting scenery for the show, which will feature more than 30 young performers.

The panto runs from Wednesday, February 22 to Saturday, February 25. For tickets, call 0114 2303 207 or visit http://www.jumblebee.co.uk/stephenhill-WizardofOz.
