A woman who was taken to hospital following an attack in a Sheffield pub’s toilets, has sparked a fresh appeal for information.

Detectives investigating the assault at The Sherwood pub, on Birley Moor Road, have issued CCTV images of several women they want to speak to.

Officers believe these women pictured in the images could have seen the assault.

A 30-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious head injuries following the attack around 11.45pm on Friday, October 16.

The woman received hospital treatment and was released later that day.

A 19-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault and bailed pending further enquiries.

Despite a previous public appeal for information, nobody has come forward to police.

Detective Constable Michelle Walton from the Force Crime Unit at South Yorkshire Police, said: “We believe that the women pictured may have witnessed the assault and it’s important that we speak to them about what they might have seen.”

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman added: “If you are pictured, or you witnessed the assault and can help police, please call 101 or email enquiries@southyorks.pnn.police.uk quoting incident number 3 of 17 October 2015.

“Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
