It is not known where the man went afterwards but police believe there may have been witnesses and have appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.

South Yorkshire Police today issued this e-fit of a man they wish to identify following the incident, which happened on Friday, March 10, at around 4.40pm.

Inspector Jason Booth from the Sheffield South East Local Policing Team, said: "I understand incidents of this nature can be incredibly concerning and we are working hard to identify the man in the e-fit image.

"The boy involved was not injured but understandably he and his family are distressed by this matter so it’s important we hear from anyone who may know who this man is or who can help us gather more information about the circumstances of this incident."
