Diva Lesley Garrett's three degrees hit

It was a family affair with a great degree of success when Yorkshire soprano Lesley Garrett swapped operatic attire for graduation gown.

The Thorne-born musician, broadcaster and media personality today (Tuesday) sang the praises of her twins at a special Sheffield ceremony.

The classical-crossover artist became honorary graduate at the same ceremony children Jeremy and Chloe received 2:1 diplomas.

The 'Doncaster Diva' who later lived at an Isle of Axholme cottage proudly joined them for a University of Sheffield Octagon photo call.
